On July 31, 2024, the Office of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council released the "Public Notice on the Expert Review and Evaluation Results of Newly Added Doctoral and Master's Degree Authorization Programs." This public notice included the review results for newly added doctoral degree programs, newly added master's degree programs, newly added doctoral and master's degree granting institutions, and newly added institutions with independent degree authorization reviews.

The results showed that the "1405 Intelligent Science and Technology" master's degree program, led by the National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data System Computing Technology at Shenzhen University, was approved. The Ministry of Education's "Catalogue of Postgraduate Education Disciplines and Majors (2022)" lists Intelligent Science and Technology as a first-level discipline in the interdisciplinary category. This approval will further enhance Shenzhen University's talent cultivation level in the field of artificial intelligence.
