On September 16, 2024, Professor John P.A. Ioannidis's team at Stanford University released the 7th edition of their global ranking of the top 2% of scientists. This ranking selects the top 2% of scientists in various fields from over 7 million researchers, covering 22 fields and 174 sub-disciplines. The list is divided into two parts: the "Lifetime Scientific Impact Ranking" (1960-2023) and the "2023 Annual Scientific Impact Ranking."

Three scholars from the National Engineering Laboratory were included in the "Lifetime Scientific Impact Ranking" (1960-2023): Professor Li Jianqiang, Professor Zhu Zexuan, and Professor Shen Linlin. Four scholars were included in the "2023 Annual Scientific Impact Ranking": Professor Li Jianqiang, Professor Zhu Zexuan, Professor Shen Linlin, and Associate Researcher Ali Ikram.

These achievements demonstrate the continuously rising research strength of the National Engineering Laboratory. The laboratory will continue to strengthen its talent pool, create a high-quality research environment and platform, strive to produce more important results, and enhance its international influence.
