The National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data System Computing Technology is a national-level science and technology innovation platform in my country's big data field, officially approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in December 2016. It is led by Shenzhen University and jointly established with the State Information Center, ZTE Corporation, Tsinghua University, and Tencent Technology. After five years of development, the National Engineering Laboratory has built a leading domestic and world-class big data technology innovation platform and an outstanding talent team led by three academicians.
The National Engineering Laboratory has always prioritized the transformation of scientific research results into practical productivity. Project Introduction
To further improve the talent support system of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), fully leverage the NSFC's function in attracting and cultivating talent, and encourage outstanding overseas young talents to return to China, the NSFC Excellent Young Scientists Fund Project (Overseas) was established in 2021.

Application Requirements
Applicants for the Excellent Young Scientists Fund Project (Overseas) should meet the following requirements:
1. Compliance with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, possessing sound scientific ethics, and consciously practicing the spirit of scientists in the new era;
2. Born on or after January 1, 1982;
3. Holding a doctoral degree;
4. Research interests primarily in natural sciences, engineering technology, etc.;
5. Generally, applicants should have obtained a formal teaching or research position in an overseas university, research institution, or corporate R&D institution before April 15, 2022, and have at least 36 consecutive months of work experience; the work experience requirement may be appropriately relaxed for those who obtained their doctoral degree overseas and have outstanding achievements;
6. Obtaining research or technological achievements recognized by peer experts and possessing the potential to become an academic leader or outstanding talent in the field;
7. Applicants should not have returned to China (or come to China) for full-time work, or should have returned to China (or come to China) for work after January 1, 2021. After receiving the funding notification, applicants must resign from their overseas work or be unemployed overseas and return to China (or come to China) for full-time work for no less than 3 years.
Application Restrictions
In accordance with the requirements of relevant central government departments regarding the coordination and integration of national science and technology talent programs, applicants can only undertake one national science and technology talent program at the same level during its support period and cannot apply for programs at a lower level.

Salary and Benefits
1. Selected candidates will be appointed as Distinguished Professors at Shenzhen University. Those who meet the requirements will be granted doctoral supervisor status, with an annual income of no less than 700,000 RMB. Excellent candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
2. Candidates can apply for the Shenzhen University "Pengcheng Peacock Plan" Distinguished Post. Depending on the post level (A, B, C), additional annual bonuses of 600,000 RMB, 360,000 RMB, and 240,000 RMB will be awarded respectively during the appointment period.
3. High-level research achievements will be eligible for research rewards, in addition to generous research performance-based income.

National, provincial, municipal, and university research funding of 5-10 million RMB.

1. Housing Policy: Candidates can apply for on-campus temporary housing with discounted rent. Eligible candidates can enjoy Shenzhen's talent housing policy; specific details are subject to final government announcement.
2. Educational Facilities: Shenzhen University Affiliated Education Group comprises 4 middle schools, 4 primary schools, and 3 kindergartens, effectively guaranteeing the schooling of faculty and staff children.
3. Healthcare: The university has two affiliated Grade A tertiary hospitals: Shenzhen University General Hospital and its affiliated South China Hospital, providing high-quality medical services to faculty and staff.
