Officially unveiled! Shenzhen University and Shenzhen Experimental School jointly establish the Turing Lab, ushering in a new model for talent cultivation.

On April 17, Shenzhen University and Shenzhen Experimental School held an unveiling ceremony for the Turing Lab. Mao Junfa, President of Shenzhen University, Qiu Miaofang, Secretary of the Institute for Advanced Studies, Li Jianqiang, Executive Director of the National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data System Computing Technology, Xia Yuhua, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shenzhen Experimental School, Deng Xu, Principal of the Senior High School, and others attended the event.

The event was held at the high school section of Shenzhen Experimental School. At the school-enterprise collaboration seminar, representatives from Shenzhen University, Shenzhen Experimental School, and several high-tech enterprises, including Makerfire Technology, UBTECH Robotics, and Shengsi, engaged in in-depth discussions on school-enterprise cooperation and talent cultivation. They jointly explored new paths for the integration of education and industry, and fully exchanged views on how to better combine resources from both sides, optimize talent cultivation programs, and promote the improvement of students' innovative abilities.

Following this, the unveiling ceremony officially began. In his speech, Deng Xu, Principal of Shenzhen Experimental School, mentioned that the establishment of the Turing Lab is an important measure to deepen cooperation between the two schools and a beneficial exploration for the future development of science and technology education. He hoped that this platform would inspire students' innovative spirit and research potential, and cultivate more outstanding science and technology innovation talents. Leaders from both schools jointly unveiled the Turing Lab and took a group photo. After the unveiling ceremony, Mao Junfa, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and President of Shenzhen University, delivered a lecture entitled "Modern Technology: IC as the Root, AI as the Foundation" to the teachers and students of Shenzhen Experimental School.

The establishment of the Turing Lab marks a new milestone in the collaboration between Shenzhen University and Shenzhen Experimental School. Leveraging the combined resources of both institutions, the lab will create a platform integrating research, teaching, and practical application, providing students with more opportunities to engage with cutting-edge technologies. This collaborative model effectively promotes students' all-round development, cultivates more innovative scientific and technological talents, advances science and technology education, and jointly contributes to the cause of talent development.
