On November 21, 2023, the Inauguration Ceremony and Academic Report Meeting of the Intelligent Internet of Things Big Data Research Center were held in Room 571 of Shenzhen Technology University.
The meeting was chaired by Zhang Xi, Director of the Information Center of Shenzhen Technology University. Leaders attending the meeting included: Ming Zhong, Vice President of Shenzhen Technology University; Li Jianqiang, Executive Director of the National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data System Computing Technology of Shenzhen University; Zhu Zexuan, Deputy Director; Shen Linlin, Deputy Director; Peng Xiaogang, Assistant Director; Luo Chengwen, Assistant Director; Wu Xu, Director of the Department of Scientific Research and Industry-University Cooperation of Shenzhen Technology University; Fu Xianghua, Vice Dean of the School of Big Data and Internet of Shenzhen Technology University; Professor Wang Junsong; Professor Li Qiang; and Jiang Lai, Deputy Director of the Information Center, among others.
At the meeting, Director Zhang Xi delivered a speech and introduced the leaders and guests present. Vice President Ming Zhong recalled the experience of building the Big Data Laboratory through the persistent efforts of all parties and expressed his close attention to the development of the Big Data Laboratory. He also introduced the development of the Information Center of Shenzhen Technology University and expressed his hope to strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation between Shenzhen Technology University and the Big Data Laboratory, as well as industry-university-research cooperation on key projects, and expressed his expectations for the development of the Intelligent Internet of Things Big Data Research Center.
Professor Li Jianqiang expressed his gratitude to Shenzhen Technology University for its attention to the Big Data Laboratory, introduced the current development of the Big Data Laboratory, and offered suggestions for cooperation between the two sides in basic research, applied research, and talent cultivation. He stated that both sides should further strengthen cooperation and maintain close contact, carry out talent cultivation while conducting scientific research cooperation, and explore more cooperation mechanisms.
Following this, the guests engaged in a lively discussion regarding the collaborative research directions between the two parties.
At the ceremony, Professor Li Jianqiang and Vice President Ming Zhong, representing the National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data System Computing Technology and the Intelligent Internet of Things Big Data Research Center respectively, jointly unveiled the plaques. All attendees then posed for a group photo.
The inauguration ceremony and academic report meeting of the Smart IoT Big Data Research Center concluded successfully amidst a lively discussion. Both parties reached a preliminary understanding of the research direction and content of their collaboration, laying a solid foundation for future in-depth cooperation.
