On October 17, 2023, the unveiling ceremony of the Joint Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence between the National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data System Computing Technology and Shenzhen Haiyunan Network Security Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Joint Laboratory") was held in the Turing Conference Room of Zhizhen Building, Shenzhen University.
Li Jianqiang, Executive Director of the National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data, Wang Li, Director of the Technology Transfer Office, Chen Jie, Deputy Director of the Health Big Data Research Center, Xie Chaohai, Chairman of Shenzhen Haiyunan Network Security Technology Co., Ltd., and Qi Dawei, Chief Scientist, attended the unveiling ceremony.
The Joint Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence was jointly established by Shenzhen Haiyunan Network Security Technology Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen University to promote scientific research in related fields, drive the development of science and technology economy industries, enhance the innovative technological strength of enterprises, achieve the healthy development of enterprises, and promote the effective transformation of university scientific research results. Based on the principles of complementary advantages, equality and mutual benefit, and long-term cooperation, the laboratory focuses on research in the high-tech field of software and data security of computing systems driven by artificial intelligence technology.
At the ceremony, Li Jianqiang and Xie Chaohai, representing Shenzhen University and Haiyunan respectively, unveiled the plaque and took a group photo.
Li Jianqiang stated that the establishment of the Joint Laboratory is a two-way cooperation and a very good cooperation model. Enterprises provide laboratories with research questions that meet specific needs, while the laboratories' promising new research and achievements can be incubated by enterprises, which will make the integration of industry, academia and research closer and form a deep cooperative relationship.
