The National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data held a guidance session for applying for the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

To encourage laboratory faculty to actively apply for National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects and enhance the innovation capabilities and basic research level of young researchers, the National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data held a NSFC application guidance session on January 17, 2023.

Professor Ma Huadong from the School of Computer Science at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications was invited to give a guidance report at this conference. Zhu Zexuan, Deputy Director of the National Engineering Laboratory, chaired the meeting, which attracted more than 80 researchers both online and offline. Professor Ma Huadong, from the perspective of expert reviewers, discussed key points to consider during the grant application process. His detailed and insightful presentation was highly enlightening, and the participants benefited greatly.

The successful convening of this grant application guidance meeting has played a positive role in improving the quality of grant applications for national engineering laboratories, strengthening academic exchanges, and increasing the enthusiasm of researchers to apply for grants.
